Authentication Agency and Separated Directories
After a client connected, FTP Shadow will authenticate the account and password instead of real FTP server. If passed, FTP Shadow can connect to the specified FTP server with specified account / password, which can be gotten from the account information set in FTP Shadow, and changing the working directory on FTP server. This function helps you get many users login by one account in real FTP server and each of them has one account with password. It also can keep your real FTP server password secret to all users. Changing passwords of these accounts is easy by manual or one automatic program.
With the special technology in FTP Shadow, multi-user for one FTP server is much better than before. After logged in, FTP Shadow will lock the account in one specified directory and make it as home.
Mary and Tom have Ftp shadow account, they can visit their own folder. But Jim has not, so FTP shadow reject Jim's connect.
